Is Leftist blogger Amanda Coyne hiding behind Celtic Diva or DNC?

Governor Palin is being forced to rack up hundreds of thousands of dollars in legal bills to answer frivolous ethics complaints being filed by left wing bloggers and activists. It has now been publicized that one of the bloggers that is attempting to make Sarah Palin’s life miserable and trying to bankrupt her family just happens to be one of the exclusive Bloggers for the Democratic National Committee and is listed on DNC’s exclusive bloggers list.

Linda Biegle aka, Celtic Diva, (http://www.divasblueoasis.com/) is the liberal blogger hack that filed the frivolous artic clothing lawsuit attack. Someone should remind her that Obama is so shameless that he went so far as to name the Steelers owner ambassador to Ireland and I’m sure it’s just a coincidence that the owner was a huge Obama supporter as well. I wonder how much the Steelers and the NFL made when Obama announced he was rooting for them?
Oh and then there’s Obama pimping a White Sox hat on several occasions.

I wonder if Celtic Diva will also sue Obama. There are several photos of him, pre and post election, wearing this Chicago White Sox cap. If she is to be considered a serious blogger, she needs to be fair….right? Such hypocrisy seems to run rampant among DNC sponsored bloggers and those that want on the list. But who is really behind all this constant noise out of Alaska? Obama and Emanuel, check. Axelrod, check. DNC, check. But in Alaska itself there are several bloggers and left-wing Democratic websites leading the charge also, and who are they? Linda Beagle, aka, Celtic Diva, check. Amanda Coyne and the Alaska Dispatch, check.

Amanda Coyne is a writer; not a journalist or a reporter and is someone who has been a blogger only since 2005. As reported on Celtic Diva’s blog, Coyne didn't get into blogging until she was about to lose her job at the Daily News and was desperate to find a way to make money and still write. Coyne and her husband and editor of adn.com Tony Hopfinger, set out to launch the Alaska Dispatch in late 2008, and since then has made their left-leaning website a platform for their personal political agenda, and for profit. Her obvious contempt for Gov Palin has been on display since the moment the site was launched.

Coyne ran a piece about Team Sarah titled “Out for Blood”. That, combined with several coordinated articles in the Huffington Post pointed out racism in the ranks; Team Sarah and several enabling Conservative bloggers claimed it was all done by "Biased-liberals who were trying to make the site look bad."

We have to wonder whether the woman filing all of the frivolous lawsuits, Linda Biegle, including the most recent, is the person who did not get a job she wanted with the state and this is her way of seeking revenge. A lot of women are projecting on Palin and you can tell by their level of dishonesty and hypocrisy on display when they type essay after essay against Sarah Palin in a slightly construed or even blatant light.

Now, to no ones surprise, Celtic Diva is claiming the same thing as Amanda Coyne has penned: racism. On a March 28 article on her blog, Celtic Diva claimed that she was receiving numerous ‘racist’ rants in her mailbox from conservatives regarding the lawsuits. Sound familiar?

To note, Amanda Coyne is a contributing blogger and writer for the Huffington Post. She is a left wing political activist who also donated $246 to the Obama Campaign. Coyne is also husband of Tony Hopfinger, editor at the Anchorage Daily News, a Palin hating McClatchy newspaper, and together Coyne and Hopfinger are friends of Andrew Halcro, ex-Senator/Blogger/Radio host, and another Palin trash artist who ran against Gov Palin in the 2006 Governors race and decidedly lost.

Other Alaskan liberals attempting to tarnish Palin are Tony Knowles, former Governor of Alaska and his henchmen; Andree McLeod, a local activist, who has filed another frivolous complaint; Zane Henning, a North Slope oil worker, who filed a complaint against Palin for promoting her future career on state property during a November 10 Greta von Susteren interview from the governor's office.

And then there is Hollis French who wants to run for Governor. So we should start seeing more ‘dirty’ propaganda information coming. And the DNC will be sending their campaign people to the state soon, contact and tactics are already in play from the DNC and it has been mentioned the 'death by a thousand paper cuts' strategy is in the works at the barrage of these lawsuits.

And in the most recent example of trying to bring Palin down are Celtic Diva and her frivolous lawsuit. Yet, these groups of above mentioned Alaska liberals, with the apparent cooperation of members of the Alaska Democratic Party have been filing ethics charge after ethics charge against Sarah Palin. Fox News and the internet is buzzing about Celtic Diva and as reported by RedState these people want to bankrupt the Palin’s and leave them destitute.
Palin released this statement on Tuesday, March 24:

"Are Alaskans outraged, or at least tired of this yet - another frivolous ethics charge by a political blogger? This would be hilarious if it weren’t so expensive for the state to process these accusations and for me to defend against these bogus harassments. Yes, I wore Arctic Cat snow gear at an outdoor event, because it was cold outside, and by the way, today, I am wearing clothes bearing the names of Alaska artists, and a Glennallen Panthers basketball hoodie. I am a walking billboard for the team’s fundraiser! Should I expect to see an ethics charge for wearing these, or the Carhartts I wear to many public events? How much will this blogger's asinine political grandstanding cost all of us in time and money?"

If you look closely at Celtic Dog’s blog, you will notice an eerily similar pattern to her post to that of Amanda Coyne. Coyne often writes and leaves her name of the essay or commentary and neglects to place a byline of a story. While Coyne mixes news with personal innuendo commentary in her essays, Beagle is harder hitting with direct advocacy. It is not known whether Beagle is drawing a salary from the DNC or some other democrat source, as some blogs have suggested, nor is it known whether Amanda Coyne is on any present or future payroll either. But, who exactly is financing these lawsuits?

The bile and bitterness emulating from both Linda Biegle and Amanda Coyne and their devotion to hate towards Palin are similar in timing and tone. Both are Democrat mouthpieces in Alaska spewing hate and rumors about Sarah Palin and both, along with Arianna Huffington are all Facebook buddies. It is rumored that both Coyne and Celtic Diva are taking marching orders from the Obama political attack machine. What is still in question is whether Coyne is being paid by the DNC, Democratic operatives or whether any payments may come in the form of favors in the future.

But we know this much. Amanda Coyne is a left-leaning hypocrite whose goal is to destroy Palin and personally benefit from it. Her hatred and personal crusade to destroy Sarah Palin is well known and widespread. It is just a matter of time before she is exposed for the vicious attack dog that she denies she is. But if and when it is learned that she is behind any of the dirty tactics and frivolous lawsuits - then Amanda Coyne’s little masquerade - will come to a screeching halt. Now that's a kind of change that fair-minded people can believe in.

Last week, while Palin’s approval ratings run at 64%, and climbing, out of the 10 complaints filed, six had been dismissed, one had "concluded," and three are pending. The more these nonsensical "ethics complaints" are filed, the sillier her enemies look. But, from the time that Obama parachuted 100 lawyers into Anchorage till now, the purpose of the exercise was always to destroy Sarah. And in Alaska, Amanda Coyne and Linda Biegel are leading the charge.

Amanda Coyne: ‘Reporter Gone Wild?”

Conspiracy writer and self-proclaimed Sarah Palin-hater Amanda Coyne recently cried foul after being banned by Team Sarah only to be unbanned by Team Sarah. This on top of the heals of a far-reaching article written by her on March 13, about a story which unfairly linked Sarah Palin to a crazed person who was supposedly inspired by something Sarah Palin said at the Republican convention. Miss Coyne, to no ones surprise, also has a website dedicated to making smears daily toward Governor Palin, for profit!

Coyne holds both a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Masters of Fine Arts in ‘creative writing’ from the University of Iowa, her home state. Amanda Coyne is married to Tony Hopfinger and editor at the Anchorage Daily News and is a friend of Andrew Halcro. Halcro ran against Sarah Palin for governor, and lost, and seems to have an axe to grind against Governor Palin as well. Tony Hopfinger is her husband; co-conspirator and editor at Anchorage Daily News who is also out to get Palin.

To start, Coyne is no reporter. Nor is she a journalist. She is a politically-biased freelance writer who teaches writing at Alaska Pacific University and is a contributing blogger at Huffington Post. Just go to the Alaska Dispatch and you will witness Coyne’s writings and opinions at work. With a “Palin Watch” tab which conveniently transfers the website into a personal political platform, the website promotes Coyne and her husband’s political agenda and revels in its liberal bias with endless attempts in smearing Gov. Palin.

If you follow her writings, it does not take long to observe that Amanda Coyne’s is out to destroy Sarah Palin at every chance. Anything anti-Palin is fair game. She describes her writing as ‘alternative journalism’ and her willingness to serve as Alaska’s number one pathetic hack never stretches the imagination as she recruits college interns to help her make money smearing Governor Palin.

Coyne was the first biographer hired for a Palin biography project. Whether she was ‘fired’ or walked away is a little murky but she claims that Palin was “not as substantial as I thought” stating “I simply can't have my name on what, so far, is turning out to be a puff piece without substance."

Funny. Coyne would never pass the Society of Professional Journalists Code of Ethics Exam. Nor could she fulfill the duty of a real journalist whose means is to seek the truth and provide fair and comprehensive accounts of events and issues. But that doesn’t seem to matter to Miss Coyne.

In a March 13 Dispatch article, Coyne went so far as to attempt to link a deranged nut case who threatened to kill the Governor of New York David Patterson to Palin's convention speech. The story essentially was based on nothing more than grandeur illusions. And so, it was of no surprise then that the author, Amanda Coyne, was too cowardly to put the byline on the story, until of course, another blog called her out.

During the election campaign, Coyne, attempted to smear Palin’s Christian beliefs too by attempting to attach her to a theologically radical congregation, religious extremists sermons and even witches. She also made no attempt to hide her true feelings by calling her fellow Alaskans ‘hillbillies’; and on any given day, seeks to damage Palin’s reputation at every turn by writing esoteric essays of her supposed incompetence. She even tries, by both inference and innuendo, if not blatantly, to suggest that Governor Palin and her supporters are racists.

Moreover, her husband, Tony Hopfinger, one of her other left-leaning culprits over at the Anchorage Daily News, is also leading the smears against Governor Palin. Hopfinger is co-editor of the Alaska Dispatch; editor of Anchorage Daily News; and good chums with Andrew Halcro. Halcro has an axe to grind with Palin and is responsible for the reporting of Trooper-gate and so many other negative stories involving Palin. ADN is notorious for deleting the comments that they disagree with on their stories and blog posts and only allow critical comments about public figures, as in Gov. Palin, because Hopfinger, like Coyne and Halcro do not like Palin.

Journalism is a public trust. And writers like Amanda Coyne and editors like Hopfinger lose credibility when they editorialize headlines, skip bylines, mix political commentary with hard news and generally misinform the reader. Amanda Coyne is a left wing political advocate who attempts to slant headlines and stories that favour her disgust with Gov. Palin. Amanda Coyne and Tony Hopfinger will say and do anything to bring Sarah Palin down. Coyne herself is often ‘busted’ for taking one statement and putting a spin on it in a way that the original statement is almost unrecognizable.

On Dec. 31, 2008, Hopfinger received an email from Gov. Palin asking questions about news coverage in the Anchorage Daily News. This was one of her questions:

“And is your paper really still pursuing the sensational lie that I am not Trig's mother? Is it true you have a reporter still bothering my state office, my very busy doctor (who's already set the record straight for you), and the school district, in pursuit of your ridiculous conspiracy?”

The governor ended with this:

As a public official, I expect criticism and I expect to be held accountable for how I govern . . . often the refusal of the media to correct obvious mistakes, unfortunately discredits too many in journalism today, making it difficult for many Americans to believe what they see in the media.

In a little-noticed speech to a GOP dinner in Alaska in Mid-March, Palin riffed that there was an "unprecedented level of media slant" that she witnessed during her two-months on the Republican ticket with John McCain. Reflecting on the campaign, Palin said "Some in the media actually participated in not so much the 'who-what-where-when-why' objective reporting”. Yes, we know Gov. Palin. And it is becoming more and more clear who some of them are.

Content in continuing to spread vicious lies, Amanda Coyne and Tony Hopfinger, in a coordinated attempt to destroy a strong and honest person, have run afoul, and continue their embracement of partisan attacks on Gov. Palin. So, we ask? Is Amanda Coyne just a writer or a reporter gone wild?

What is Reporter Amanda Coyne’s ‘End Game’ Against Gov. Palin?

If you listen to Kaylene Johnson, the first biographer for Sarah Palin, you would learn that Governor Palin’s story is a modern-day David and Goliath, an unstoppable force in Alaskan politics, hockey mom and friend. If you listen to Amanda Coyne, an Alaska freelancer writer, blogger at Huffington Post, and an APU writing teacher who was supposed to be the first biographer, Governor Palin is nothing more than a puff piece without substance.

Two weeks before McCain tapped Governor Palin, Anchorage-based writers Amanda Coyne and her husband and editor at the Anchorage Daily News Tony Hopfinger launched the Alaska Dispatch website; an online news and opinion magazine which discusses Alaska stories that they feel went uncovered and Alaska voices that went unheard. But somewhere along the line, Amanda Coyne decided that she would, without masquerade, conveniently convert the Dispatch into a personal political platform to promote her and her husbands agenda. And, that agenda is to tarnish the reputation and image of Governor Sarah Palin.

Before Palin was selected as McCain's VP choice, Coyne was generally complimentary of Palin. Then in the heat of the campaign, she turned into a vicious partisan-hack, often spewing visceral hate against Palin. At that time, the Main Street Media-types then began to flock to Coyne supposedly because she was an 'Alaskan.' Yet she is not a native Alaskan, nor does she speak highly of Alaskan residents. She is a transplant from Iowa who moved to Alaska in 2002 and still finds time to flock to her beloved Santa Fe every winter.

Right after Palin spoke at the Republican convention; Coyne wrote a condescending article for Newsweek that disparaged Alaskans by starting the whole 'Wasilla-Hillbilly' nonsense. She then went on to make it her personal crusade to destroy Sarah Palin and anything affiliated with her. Ms Coyne went so far as to attempt to link a deranged nut case who threatened to kill the Governor of New York David Patterson to Palin's convention speech and she purposely mischaracterized Palin’s Pentecostal religious activities and affiliations.

The Alaska Dispatch is also the website who linked to Andrew Halcro's ‘scoop’ about SarahPAC being "behind Palin's stimulus decision." Many native Alaskans and outsiders who seek the truth have noticed that Halcro has many "sources" that never seem to have a name. Andrew Halcro is the former two-term Republican state representative who ran against Governor Palin, lost, and also seems to have an axe to grind against her. Halcro is also friends with both Amanda Coyne and her co-conspirator husband Tony Hopfinger.

Together, Coyne, Hopfinger and Halcro are part of a left-leaning group that is trying to destroy Sarah Palin and sources have speculated whether their marching orders have come all the way from 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. Is a deal like the pay-for-play similar to the Kim Elton arrangement eventually in the works? The contempt they have for Gov. Palin and those like her is undeniable.

Such disgust is also illustrated in Amanda Coyne’s Newsweek depiction of Gov. Palin’s Christian beliefs. Despite Sen. Barack Obama's long-time association with the theologically and politically liberal Trinity United Church of Christ, Amanda Coyne, jumping on the bandwagon of how the media portrays believers, set out to find something juicy about Gov. Palin's house of worship, Wasilla Bible Church, in an attempt to deliberately ridicule and make fun of her religion.

Yet, Sarah Palin is like the cross to these blood suckers, and at times, Palin’s opponents have sunk into self-righteous deceit. Ardently-biased Progressive writers such as Amanda Coyne like to perpetuate the idea that Palin is reverently unqualified and lacks substance to govern. She blends limited newsworthy essays with biased opinion commentary in an attempt to paint Palin in broad-brushed strokes of incompetence. Anything anti-Palin is fair game - even when her writings fall well short of any journalistic integrity.

Coyne’s motives are simple; vilify and destroy Sarah Palin at every chance for personal gain. A somewhat obscure writer prior to Palin’s journey on the national stage, Coyne is transparent in her advocacy to implicate by reference and innuendo. Her short shallow take on the truth of a story runs secondary to an impulse to defame as she manages to craft a story that leaves a sincere reader errantly misinformed. She is deliberate in her attempts to show distaste for anything Sarah Palin but often lacks the literary aptitude to inform the reader through any material substance. Coyne is part and parcel, a member of the left wing smear machine; a partisan, and an ideologue.

To this day , conspiracy theorist still ponder whether Amanda Coyne was ‘fired’ as the first biographer of Governor Palin, as reported by one blog and rumored among many, or whether she ignorantly discarded the chance to benefit as Kaylene Johnson has. We will leave that up to you to decide. One thing is certain; no one knows what turned Amanda Coyne against Governor Palin or what her end game is. But if she can personally profit from the Palin bashing journey that she is on, she sure looks willing to abandon any degree of credibility in her advocacy writings.

Reporter Amanda Coyne Credibility in Question

Asking Amanda Coyne to contain herself in mendacity and conspiracy reporting is the equivalent of asking water not to be wet. Her diversionary tactic in journalistic truth is hardly grounded in literary transparency. And, her alternative writing of snide political commentary, most notably, against Sarah Palin, is ripe in fallacy and deceit.

Coyne's politically-biased brand of journalism and unending drivel against Governor Palin mirrors the same level of credibility as OJ looking for the real killer. Coyne and her husband, Tony Hopfinger, are part of an unholy cabal that is trying to destroy Sarah Palin; tarnish her national image; and personally profit from it.

Amanda Coyne and Tony Hopfinger have assembled more than four dozen contributors to produce AlaskaDispatch.com, an online magazine that not only suffers from objective journalism but parallels the caustic, outrageous, dishonest and often disingenuous reporting of the Huffington Post. To note, Ms Coyne is a Huffington Post contributing blogger and Tony Hopfinger is an editor at the Anchorage Daily News.

Her brand of alternative journalism attempts to misconstrue one statement and then in the absence of any ardent facts, spin a rhetorical essay of subjective reporting. Her website, from which she and her husband profit from, is attempting to capitalize on the deceptive half-truths of left wing spin and the viciously fashionable bashing of Governor Palin.

It is then of no surprise that Ms Coyne has a Masters in ‘creative writing’ from the University of Iowa and her employment affiliation with the Alaska Pacific University brings new meaning to the term “Instructor in writing.” She once stated: “The fantasy of writing is so different than the reality.” Yes, Amanda. We know.

Her agenda is to recruit college interns to help make money so she and her husband can ‘profit’ by smearing Governor Palin. Her goal is to personally profit by capitalizing on manufactured claims and strident views toward Sarah Palin. Her website scheme is to play the same game as they do at ADN by manipulating the "thumbs up" and "thumbs down" ratings on comment walls. She will censor you - but don’t even try to censor her. Or, she cries foul.

If Amanda Coyne was banned from Team Sarah you can rest assure that it was because she wants to play by a different set of rules than everyone else. Her alternative journalism is hardly an even playing field. Indistinguishable from trash tabloid reporting, Amanda Coyne once stated: “I’m so present; people think I’m weird,” and “I’ve been accused of being crazy.” She then goes on to say casually “I’ve even hung out with white supremacists and drug dealers.” Well Amanda, being that present only makes your style of narrative journalism that much more skewed and prejudiced.

Leading the smears against Governor Palin has become a profiteering past-time of hers as she, and her husband at the Anchorage Daily News, Tony Hopfinger, seeks to personally gain financially. Such false bravado is unconscionable. And, just as her ulterior motives and lack of upfront intentions obscure the resemblance of truth, Amanda Coyne’s well orchestrated campaign lacks the credibility in her disbelief in being banned by Team Sarah.

The smell of smoke is in the air.
